Dependents/beneficiaries of active OWWA members who are qualified for the EDSP Scholarship Program will receive financial assistance worth P30,000 per semester or a total of P60,000 maximum per school year. Qualifications

The OFW’s dependents should meet the following qualifications to be eligible for the EDSP Scholarship Program:

For Incoming 1st Year College

  • A Filipino citizen
  • Active OWWA member child upon application
  • A sibling of an OFW OWWA member who is single or without children but married upon application
  • Should be one of the top 400 passers of the Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) national qualifying exam
  • Not over 21 years old
  • With an 80% or higher General Weighted Average (GWA) and should be included in the top 20% graduating class.
  • Should not be receiving other scholarship grants

For 2nd to 5th Year College

  • Not over 30 years old
  • Should have a good moral character and overall health

Requirements

  • 2-copies of duly filled out EDSP Scholarship Application Form (available at OWWA RWO)
  • OFW Membership Record (available at OWWA RWO)
  • 2 pcs 2×2 recent ID picture
  • One (1) valid ID of both the OFW and Authorize Representatives (government or company ID)
  • Proof of Relationship to OFW OWWA member (from LCR or PSA):
  • Certificate of No Marriage (OFWs PSA CENOMAR)
  • PSA Birth Certificate of OFW and applicant (if OFWs siblings)
  • PSA Birth Certificate of the applicant (if OFWs child)
  • Dependents Form 137 (for incoming 1st-year college)
  • Dependents Certificate of Grades or Transcript of Records (for 2nd-year to 5th-year college)
  • Any proof of OWWA membership:
  • MPC issued OFW Verification Sheet
  • OWWA membership fee payment Official Receipt
  • Medical Certificate stating the applicant is physically fit to attend school (for students with pre-existing medical conditions)
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character from the guidance/principal (Form 2B)
  • Certification proving the applicant is part of the top 20% graduating class and a GWA in the report card not less than 80% (Form 2C)
  • Sworn Statement stating the applicant doesn’t have a pending migration application in other countries and should not be dual citizens acknowledged by parents or legal guardians (For 2E)
  • Notification from OWWA RWO that the applicant qualifies for the DOST national exam

  1. Download and print the EDSP Scholarship Application form thru the official OWWA website or click this link. You can also secure the form at the nearest OWWA Regional Welfare Office (OWWA RWO).
  2. Fill out the application form and secure the documentary requirements.
  3. Next, visit the nearest OWWA RWO that covers your permanent address.
